- DIY: GLITTER PORTRAIT -

This holiday season, I was able to get a few crafts and a recipe in between teaching and finishing my teaching credential program. Here is a fun and super easy DIY that can brighten up your home real fast.

Materials:
Paper (I used water color paper)
Pencil
Model/Sketch
Glue (I used Mod Podge)
Glitter
Photo frame (if you want to frame it)

How To:
Step 1 Find an animal or model that you want to sketch. A reindeer is great for the holidays, but some other options are owls, squirrels, or rabbits.
Step 2 Sketch the animal or model. If you are not gifted with drawing abilities, you could print out the picture and trace it over. However, if you are using thicker paper like I did, you can simply just place the paper over the monitor screen and trace.
Step 3 If you are going to frame your portrait, cutting it into the correct size of the photo frame would be a good idea now before glitter gets everywhere.
Step 4 Now it's my favorite time, glitter time! Outline the portrait with glue and fill in the insides. Once the area is covered, sprinkle down the glitter! Once covered, shake off the excess glitter back into the bottle over a trash can.
Step 5 Let dry! Once dry, place the paper into the photo frame and place somewhere for all to see. Tada!

Love,
Jessie
