- DIY: OREO PEPPERMINT BARK -

Look inside for a quick 20 minute holiday dessert recipe. Easy and delicious!

Ingredients:
Oreos (I used 5 whole Oreos)
Candy canes (I used 7)
1 cup of milk chocolate (for sweetness)
1 and a half cup of white chocolate
Cake pan/something to pour in the chocolate
Non-stick parchment paper

How To:
Step 1 Crush up the Oreos and candy canes. For the Oreos, take off the stuffing then go ahead and crush the cookies. Preference of the size depends on you - I didn't crush up the Oreos too small but I did want the candy canes to be a bit finer.

Step 2 Melt the chocolate. You can do so over boiling water or you can go the easier route and melt it in the microwave. In the microwave, melt in intervals of 30 seconds until your chocolate is smooth. After each 30 seconds, take it out and mix. 3-4 times should be good enough.

Step 3 You can either mix both chocolates together or layer it separately. I mixed it and really liked the outcome. If you mix, you can just pour the chocolate onto the non-stick parchment paper. It's up to you if you want to layer your dessert. I poured a thin layer of chocolate, then sprinkled Oreo bits over, then poured the rest of the chocolate over.

Step 4 Sprinkle the candy cane bits over the top layer of chocolate.

Step 5 Pop the pan into the fridge and wait for it to harden. If you are doing this last minute you can even put it in the freezer.

Step 6 Once out, break into smaller pieces and share with family and friends! :)

Love,
Jessie
